Fylgia Appoints New Managing Partner and Expands Board of Directors
Mathias Winge will take up the role of Managing Partner with effect from 1 April 2026. Mathias succeeds Fredrik Winroth, who has been Managing Partner since 2021. In connection with this, the board will also be expanded by one member. The Board will thus consist of Bo Söder, Jakob Callmander, Anneli Lönnborg and Markus Garfvé. The Board will continue to be led by Chair Anneli Lönnborg.
Mathias Winge specialises in insolvency law and corporate restructuring and is consistently ranked as a recommended adviser by Chambers & Partners Europe, Legal 500, IFLR1000 and Lexology (formerly Who's Who Legal). He has been a partner at Fylgia since 2020 and therefore has a thorough understanding of the firm and its clients.
The change of Managing Partner comes at a time when Fylgia is experiencing strong growth momentum. 2024 and 2025 have been record years for the firm, and the ambition is to continue on this path.
"In recent years, Fylgia has grown faster than comparable firms, and 2025 was truly a record year for us. To continue this growth journey, the board is being expanded by one further member, and the partners have simultaneously elected a new Managing Partner. With these changes, the next chapter in Fylgia's history begins," says Anneli, Chair of the Board.
Mathias takes on the role with a clear focus on the continued development of the firm and its offering to clients.
"I am proud and humbled to take on the responsibility of continuing to develop Fylgia. We are a fantastic team at Fylgia and I look forward to working with my colleagues to drive the firm forward towards new successes," says Mathias Winge, incoming Managing Partner.
Fredrik Winroth is stepping down after five years as Managing Partner, a period during which Fylgia has undergone significant growth and modernisation.
"I would like to extend my warmest thanks to Fredrik for the work he has put in to shape Fylgia as it is today. He is handing over a firm that has developed very strongly over several years, and it feels fantastic to take over and continue driving that development forward," says Mathias Winge.
