Fylgia’s Johan Obel and Ulf Hökeberg have successfully represented Restaurang Atrium Aktiebolag in a dispute against the Nationalmuseum, resulting in a judgment ordering the museum to pay nearly SEK 12 million in damages to Restaurang Atrium.
Restaurang Atrium had leased premises within the Nationalmuseum for its restaurant operations. However, in connection with the museum’s renovation in 2013, the lease was terminated, forcing the restaurant to shut down. The museum initially paid SEK 6.1 million in compensation, but Atrium claimed the actual damage amounted to SEK 18 million and submitted several expert reports to support its position. Nationalmuseum argued that Atrium had already been more than adequately compensated and referred to its own valuation reports.
