On 24 February 2025, Crispy Duck AB (reg. no. 556977-0679) was declared bankrupt. The company has operated the renowned and award-winning Aloë restaurant, which holds two Michelin stars, along with its more casual sister venue, Rinos.
Jakob Callmander, partner at law firm Fylgia, has been appointed as the bankruptcy trustee.
What Does the Bankruptcy Mean for Aloë and Rinos?
The bankruptcy of Crispy Duck AB casts uncertainty over the future of both Aloë and Rinos. Aloë has been one of Sweden’s most acclaimed fine dining destinations, known for its innovative tasting menus and international recognition. Rinos, the smaller sister restaurant, has served as a relaxed neighbourhood bistro with a strong local following.
At this stage, it remains unclear how the business will be affected in the long term, or whether there is a possibility for continued operations under new ownership or through some form of restructuring.
